About Propertychecklists
Propertychecklists was founded by Kate Faulkner, who is widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading independent property experts. Having already helped tens of thousands of people across the UK with their property problems, through seminars, workshops and the media, she realised there was a need for an online resource.

The checklists are sponsored by trusted companies that have been carefully selected by Kate, in order to allow you to enjoy free, unlimited access.

Because Kate works closely with organisations and companies at the leading edge of the property industry, she is always ahead of the curve in terms of what people are going to need and what new legislation is on the horizon. So you can be confident our checklists are always up to date and giving you the best information and advice you need in order to carry out your property project.

If you can’t find a checklist you’re looking for, please get in touch and if we don’t already have it, we’ll create one for you!

About Kate
In the late 1990s, Kate left a highly successful career in sales and marketing for large Blue Chips to pursue her passion for property. Since then, she has established herself as an independent market analyst and consultant to the industry, while also working with the public to help people carry out their property projects successfully.

She has bought, sold and rented 13 times, introduced new on-line products for the industry, re-branded and prepared for launch the National Self Build and Renovation Centre in Swindon and worked with developers to carry out part-exchange services. She now divides her time between consumer education and consulting with the renting and letting/property investment sector, from high-street agents to government departments.

On a monthly basis, Kate summarises what’s happening to property prices and rents across the UK and analyses the impact this has on both consumers and the industry. She also keeps her Propertychecklists' subscribers up to date with regular newsletters in response to developments within the property sector.

Kate has written seven property books, including the Which? Essential Property Guides, and is regularly featured on television and radio as an expert property market commentator. Her appearances have included BBC Breakfast, Your Money, GMTV, Radio 4 You & Yours and The Big Questions. She has degrees in Economics and Marketing, plus an MBA, and is a member of the Institute of Directors and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
