How much to pay for your removals?

In the past, removal costs would have been likely to be hundreds through to thousands of pounds.

But there is now a revolutionary system which has dramatically reduced the cost of moving your belongings from A to B and in doing so, they have also made sure you are provided a much better service – seems impossible? It really isn’t!

What AnyVan have managed to do is make it more cost effective for both the removal companies and you to organise moving items from A to B. They do this because the system is more efficient.

Rather than lots of removal companies going up and down the country, full one way and then empty on the return, because you have easy access now to tens of thousands of removal companies, they can give you an excellent service, while reducing their own costs by making sure their vans and lorries are full both ways. It also helps to save on CO2 emissions.

Example Removal Quotes
They also analyse lots of costs of moving your items, so it’s easy to see how much it will cost you to move your belongings. For example, the cheapest quote they have ever done is £39 – not bad!

Other quotes they post live on their website and today when I looked there were:-

The cheapest quote was just £44, moving items for eight miles
The next quote was £82, moving items just two miles
Another move was a full 54 miles, but still just £307
The next one was £370, moving 11 miles
And finally, there was one for 25 miles which was a biggie, for £551

In the past, it wouldn’t have really have been worth removal companies carrying out small moves from A to B, but if it’s now on their way back from somewhere, it means they can fill up both ways, make a bit more money and make it worth your while to pay for someone else to do the work for you.

What about removals insurance?
It’s important to make sure even if you use a man with a van, then you make sure the company has some form of insurance just in case your items break, especially if they are packing them.

It is also worth you checking with your own contents insurance company to see what their insurance will cover for you if anything gets broken along the way – especially if you are packing the items.

How long does it take to get a quote for removals?
Having used the system myself for moving my exhibition items from home to various venues across the country, I typically find it takes from minutes to start getting quotes in and then we leave it for 24 hours or so to see who else comes in and get the most competitive quote.

But I tend to choose based on feedback, not just price and this has really worked for me. All the chaps I have used have been lovely, arrived on time, picked the items up and for me what’s been brilliant is I have just turned up at the venue and rather than having to have had a long drive, then unpack the car and carry everything to my stand, it’s all done for me, often for as little as a hundred pounds or so.
